The European Programs Implementation Service (EPIS), as a contracting authority and as beneficiary, undertakes the implementation of projects on behalf of the Hellenic Parliament and independent public authorities in areas such as:
• parliamentary transparency, organizational changes in parliamentary operations and control processes, the practice of parliamentary diplomacy and cooperation between parliaments,
• supporting the work of the independent public authorities, their cooperation with parliaments and integrating the acquis communautaire,
• know-how transfer to acceding countries and the implementation of best practices in parliament and in public administration,
• effectiveness of legislative work and coverage of the gap between legislative initiatives and the implementation of legislation,
• citizen communication and ongoing dialogue on legislative and control issues, digital democracy, e-government and social accountability,
• promotion of global actions, the use of the historical and cultural wealth of the Hellenic Parliament, exchange of cultural documents, support of the digital repository of the Hellenic Parliament and content management and promotion,
• respect for personality, protection of basic human rights, health and quality of life, environmental protection and addressing climatic change, in line with the principle of sustainability.
These projects are designed and implemented with the cooperation of other European Parliaments, Universities, Research Institutions, Institutes and Bodies of the Public and Private Sector, depending on the subject matter of each project.
