Summary
The following actions will be implemented:
a) organization of training seminars for data protection officers, judges and lawyers in Greece and Cyprus
b) organization of a transnational meeting to exchange good practices and disseminate the results of the program
c) creation of a manual for data protection officers, lawyers and judges on the effective implementation of the new Regulation.
Purpose
The objectives of the program are:
a) to develop common content and training and information material to support the effective implementation of the new Data Protection Directive
b) to provide practice-oriented training to three main target groups: data protection officers, judges and lawyers in Greece and Cyprus
c) to create a framework for the exchange of views and experiences through networking and information events
Results
1) Training a total of 40-50 DPA employees, 40-50 judges and 40-50 lawyers in Greece and Cyprus
2) Development of specialized data protection training material based on the new Regulation
3) Creation of a network of 12 trainers in two countries to be selected and trained
4) Networking, dialogue and exchange of good practices
5) Contribution to the effective implementation of a package of measures aiming to reform personal data through a common code of practice.
